9:00 am - Traditional Worship Service. Sunday School for preschool through high school (students begin worship in the sanctuary).
11:00 am - Contemporary Worship Service.

Wednesdays nights at Calvin begin at 4:30 with an adult enrichment class, then at 5:30 an all-church dinner. 6:30 brings Middle School Youth Group, Kids Club and another hour of adult enrichment. 7:30 pm is choir rehearsal. Join in anytime.

“Simple Living” Guest Speakers at 6:30

              Simple living has so many implications for Christians.  Jesus instructs us not to lay up treasure on earth; we want to use less of the world’s natural resources for environmental and theological reasons; and we simply want to have less clutter in our lives so we can focus on what God wants us to do and be.  Three speakers will be coming to share their expertise on how we can live more ‘lightly on the earth.’  Pastor Bob will lead one evening with a discussion on the past, present and future at Calvin.  You won’t want to miss a single one of these Wednesday nights.

May 7 Pastor Bob Garwig will reflect on the past year of ministry together as well as look ahead to the fall at Calvin.

May 14  Doug Boleyn of Cascadesolar.com will help us explore the ‘hot’ topic of energy issues and choices—both for us as a church and as individuals. (see page 4)

May 21  Jenny Holmes, of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon will speak on how the foods we buy and eat reflect our values and our impact on the environment. (see page 4)

 May 28  Lisa McKinn, Professor of Sociology at George Fox University, will speak to us about “Living Simply So Others May Simply Live”. (Read more about Lisa McMinn on page 4).

June 4   SPECIAL FIELD TRIP.  We will wrap up our season of classes with a field trip to the REAL LIFE EXHIBIT at nearby Medical Teams International.  Come be prepared to see how the ‘least of these’ live in various places around the world.
